Audiocord Privacy Policy

Audiocord is a desktop client for web Discord. Here is exactly what it sends about itself, what it never touches, and how to switch it off. Plainly, with nothing buried.

At a glance

01 Why it exists

So we can see how many people use Audiocord, how many are active, and which audio settings actually get used - and put development effort there. That is the entire purpose. No ads, no selling data, nothing shared with third parties.

02 What is collected

Install ID
A one-off random value made on first launch, stored only on your device. Not tied to you, your hardware, or your account.
App + system
Audiocord version and your OS / CPU architecture, e.g. win32 x64.
Client versions
The Audiocord, Electron and Chromium version strings.
Audio settings
Bitrate, sample rate, stereo, QEXT, and built-in echo cancellation / noise suppression / auto gain on or off.
In a call?
A yes/no flag at check-in, for diagnosing audio. Never any call audio or content.
Discord ID + avatar
Only while telemetry is on. Shows which accounts use Audiocord. Your username, email, and the rest of your account are not collected.
Check-in times
When the client last contacted us.

A check-in fires on launch, on each settings change, and periodically while running. Stored on Cloudflare (D1).

Your IP address is not recorded - not stored, not logged, not used for anything.

03 What is never collected

Voice / audio
Nothing you say or hear is ever captured or transmitted.
Messages
No content, no typing, nothing you write.
Account details
No username, email, password, servers, friends, or DMs.
Screen / video
No screen capture or video content.
IP / location / files
No IP address, location, files, or contacts.

Audiocord just loads Discord in a window - your actual Discord usage is between you and Discord under their privacy policy. Audiocord's telemetry never sees any of it.

04 Turning it off

Open Settings → Voice & Video → Audiocord and toggle Audiocord Telemetry off. That disables it completely.

Off means off. No settings, no Discord ID, no avatar, nothing about how you use the app. The only thing sent while it is off is a single flag saying telemetry is disabled (with the install ID), so an opt-out can be told apart from a broken install. Nothing else.

05 The website

This page covers the Audiocord app. The standalone audio patches themselves contain no telemetry and process everything locally. The discord-voice.xyz website uses two privacy-respecting, third-party services:

spoo.me
Link shortening and anonymised click analytics on download links. spoo.me
AnalyticsZ
Cookieless, GDPR-compliant page analytics. analyticsz.com

Neither service collects personally identifiable information.
